I’m so behind in my other work. The whole point of this blog is supposed to be about taking time out to get that whole 90 minutes of exercise in! And, here I go, so far from the goal… Well, I did get my blood work in, today. That was of critical concern. I also went out an purchased a Tanita BC554 Ironman Glass InnerScan Body Composition Monitor Elite Series. This thing tells me my weight, body fat percentage, water weight percentage, total bone weight, muscle mass, amount of visceral fat, and my health age. Oh, and it’s BEAUTIFUL LOOKING! See through glass. It also stores my age, height, and records the findings to it’s memory! I’ll post my current status in a few days, regarding my overall health, God willing. back to other work. no exercise for today world!
Look at that aesthetic looking scale:
Did nothing… :P Well, I did peruse through the free complimentary edition of my Runner’s World [1-year] subscription that I got for just 20 bucks! Not bad.

Just increased the distance of my run from 25 minutes to 27 minutes. Well, I added more distance. Yeah, I know, ya’ guys want the actual distance traveled rather than the time taken to travel the distance. Well, if only ya’ had the speed I was traveling… 27:45 to be exact. After which, I did the Pilates: Abs Workout. That’s 25 minutes. So, we’ve got 25 + 25 = 50 minutes. Just 40 minutes short of my 90 minutes of exercise per day goal. Cool. I’m getting closer! Praise God.
I’ve increased the distance of my run so that it takes me about 25 minutes to complete now. Exactly 25:24
I took a break today. Not because I needed one, but because I’ve been procrastinating too much in the rest of my life. Life has become too big. These are lousy excuses! Well, I did go and check out the gyms in my area as well as the YMCA. Don’t know where I’ll go for sure just now, though. It seems that I’ll have access to the gym 24/7 though, whereas, the YMCA is open from 4 till 9. WEIRD TIMINGS, eh!
Well, I didn’t go for a run today. It was cold outside… Allright!, lousy excuse. It was cold and dark outside – MUCH BETTER! Well, instead, I followed the following guidelines set for October 14th, 2007 at http://www.Crossfit.com:
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
Since I don’t have a pull-up bar, yet, I substituted straight-toed calf-raises instead of pull-ups. These are my results: 144 calf raises, 40 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 80 squats. Yeah, I know – NOT GREAT AT ALL! I think I like the routines at CrossFit.
That 20 minute run has now become an 18 minute and 50 second run. Yeah for progress. Um, not quite – You see, progress is relative… 18:50 run now means I’m 71 minutes and 10 seconds short of my exercise 90 minutes daily goal! Now, that’s not fun!
Another 20 minute run. Yeah, I know, 20 is far from 90! 70 short… hmmm… an hour and 10 minutes! Ickes…
After a long break from exercising and finally prepared to stop fattening up, I have decided to get back to it! Yes, I intend to get to 90 minutes of exercise per day, but today, I decided to gradually build into that goal. I went for a very simple and brisk 20 minute run. Nothing extraneous. I have various resources\tools that I’ve ordered recently coming in, soon, God willing, which I’ll detail in this log as they come in.
